Our Story
Several years ago, a group of moms got together amid the pandemic and allowed me to teach their children in a small room. Throughout the school year, we went on several outings to establish a place and a community where our children could thrive, learn, grow, and develop meaningful relationships free of fear and coercion. We wanted a place where our children and other families could build connections through love and respect for each other and our natural environment. As our children grew and the space became insufficient, I knew we wanted more for ourselves and our children and so Rooted Through Nature was established to expand it to more the community!
This dream came into full fruition after finishing my degree in education and officially rebranding as Rooted through Nature LLC in 2023. We have crafted a holistic homeschool program that emphasizes nature-based learning and community. Our mission is to foster a love for learning, encouraging our children to grow intellectually and emotionally, and to form meaningful, enduring connections through their high school years and beyond. An education at Rooted through Nature allows children to blossom into their true selves and follow their interests as we build an emergent curriculum to suit the children in each program year after year. We take what we know works, like the Massachusetts State Standards, as a guideline and combine that with a hands-on approach where each student can contribute to their learning.
